HOW DOES EASY RV WORK?

We connect RV owners with people who want to rent them…it’s that Easy! Owners list their RVs on our site, and renters can scroll through the listings to find just the right RV. You can search for an RV in the area you live or by destination. Communication is handled through the site as the details get ironed out. Once both parties confirm, an agreement is reached, and payments made. Easy RV handles the details, so owners and renters can feel confident about the experience.

DO OWNERS PAY TO LIST THEIR RV OR TRAILERS?

Listing an RV or trailer is FREE. When a booking is accepted, Easy RV takes 15% of the rental, the lowest fee in the rental industry.

I’M A FIRST-TIME RVER, HOW WILL I KNOW HOW TO WORK EVERYTHING IN AN RV?

We LOVE first-timers! Owners are really good about providing an orientation over all the systems & features of their particular RV. We also provide a handy Orientation Checklist on our site to serve as a guideline to making sure everything is covered.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?

We encourage owners to respond to requests within 24 hours, however, we recommend waiting a few days if you don’t hear anything right away, everyone has different schedules. After a few days, if you still haven’t heard anything, you can send a reminder message to the owner when you pull up the online listing. Once you get a response, it’s between you and the owner to agree on the details of the rental.

WHAT IF I NEED TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY BOOKING?

If you already have a confirmed reservation, just log-in to your account on Easy RV and message the owner your new dates and request a revised quote.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE DETAILS OF MY BOOKING?

When a reservation is confirmed, you’ll be able to find the booking details in your In Box, and you’ll receive an email with the same information.

WHEN DO OWNERS GET PAID?

Payment is released to the Owner’s bank account 24 hours after the rental start date. RV Owners understand and agree to link a bank account to receive rental payouts.

WHEN WILL I GET MY DEPOSIT BACK?

An owner has 72 hours after the RV is returned to do an inspection & complete the checkout form. Any overages (mileage, generator, fuel, etc.), as well as any news damages, are documented at that time. When there are no overages or new damages, the deposit it refunded in full after 72 hours. If there are overages or new damages reported, you will receive an email with an opportunity to dispute the charges. We encourage owners and renters to download, print and utilize the Condition Form available on our site. We also strongly suggest that photos are taken of the RV on the day of pick-up.

DO I HAVE TO PAY TAXES WHEN I RENT AN RV?

Yes. Each state has different tax requirements that you are required to pay in conjunction with a rental. The tax amount should be noted in the listing as well as on your rental agreement as a line item.

ARE THERE ANY CHECKS CONDUCTED ON THE RENTERS?

Easy RV conducts a department of motor vehicle check on each renter at no cost to the Owners.

DO I NEED INSURANCE TO RENT AN RV?

Some owners have rental insurance that provides coverage for the renter. If an owner does not have rental insurance, you’ll need to obtain a temporary insurance Binder or Certificate, or, try to obtain rental insurance through your own carrier. You’ll find more details about insurance in our Terms and Conditions.

DOES MY OWNER INSURANCE COVER MY RENTERS?

Most regular insurance plans don’t cover renters. If you plan on renting your RV or trailer regularly, it’s best to get a policy that covers your renters (MBA Insurance is one of many companies that offer policies for owners who want to rent their RVs). Another option is to have the renter obtain a temporary binder or certificate from their own auto insurance agency that extends to a rental RV or trailer.

WHAT DOCUMENTS AND FORMS DO OWNERS NEED TO USE WHEN RENTING AN RV?

We make it easy for owners by providing sample template documents you may print and use for the rental process, such as a Pre-Arrival Checklist, Rental Agreement, Vehicle Condition Agreement, and many more.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY RENTAL?

Bummer! Each owner sets their own cancellation policy which you should inquire about, and feel comfortable with, before you confirm your reservation. It’s always best to make sure the cancellation guidelines are in writing.

ARE THERE ADDITIONAL FEES WHEN I RENT AN RV?

Owners establish the additional fees they will charge. All additional fees that apply to your rental should be noted in the rental listing and on your rental agreement. Additional fees will commonly relate to mileage, generator use, pets, cleaning, special packages, etc.

CAN I INCLUDE MY PET IN MY RV ADVENTURE?

We are pet-friendly at Easy RV, however, you’ll need to verify with the RV Owner about bringing your pet along.

WHAT ARE TAX REQUIREMENTS FOR RV OWNERS?

Each owner is required to set the tax rate for their rental(s), based on what their state will require them to collect and submit each year. We recommend that owners consult with their state comptroller’s office as well as a tax professional to determine tax liability, collection and filing requirements.
