CLASS A MOTORHOME
These are usually big, boxy, and are similar to a bus. There is a big picture window for a windshield. They range from basic to high-end luxury models and everything in-between.Class A rentals will be great for anyone wanting luxury, lots of room, and if you typically “play where you stay,” (unless you will be towing a second vehicle). PROS: Lots of space, amenities galore, drives and ridessmooth, comfortable, and lots of storage. CONS: Poor fuel economy, must know where you can and cannot go, and unless you tow a smaller vehicle, you're limited to where you can go.

CLASS B MOTORHOME
This is the smallest of the three classes of motorhomes. They resemble a van. Best rental for singles or couples who are very active and plan to spend very little time in the vehicle. PROS: Easy to drive and store, parking is not an issue, practical if you like minimalism and compact efficiency. CONS: Amenities are cramped into tight spaces, roomfor 1 or 2 persons only.

CLASS C MOTORHOME
This is a truck chassis with a house built on, and a bed that extends over the cab area. Its size is between the Class A and Class C, and can vary in length from 14 feet to 35 feet. Great rental for families who want all the amenities to be accessible while driving and they’re pretty easy to maneuver as well. PROS: Easy to maneuver and park, lots of amenities andstorage, and the ones with slides offer even more of both.

Similar to a travel trailer, but it has a raised forward section that provides a spacious, bi-level floor plan. This type of trailer is towed by a pick-up truck equipped with a fifth wheel hitch in the bed of the truck. Fifth wheels are heavier and more spacious than most trailers and usually come outfitted with upgraded amenities such as solid-surface countertops and household furniture. Experienced RVers love fifth wheels because of the high- end amenities and extra-space, while having the ability to un-hook the tow vehicle from the trailer in order to get around new destinations. PROS: Most storage of all trailer types, tow vehicledoubles as local transportation, more living space. CONS: You must have the right tow vehicle and hitch, hitching up & driving takes practice, you can’t accessthe living quarters while in motion.

A travel trailer is a house on wheels, usually with a bedroom, kitchen and restroom; however, smaller trailers might not have all these amenities. They can range from very high- end to very basic. Great for first timers or those who need to unhook their tow vehicle at their destination for local transportation, and you can have as many amenities as other RVs without the high cost. PROS: Easy to hitch and un-hitch, lots of storage insideand outside, great for families. CONS: No-one is permitted to ride in the trailer whiletowing, so all occupants will need to ride in the towvehicle. Towing larger trailers require some experience.

Often referred to as a pop-up, these trailers range in size and have well-insulated plastic windows that allow you to feel like you’re part of the surrounding outdoors. Amenities range from just beds to those that have kitchens and a toilet. Pop-ups are wonderful for families wanting a real camping experience, minus sleeping in a tent on the ground. PROS: Easy to hitch and un-hitch, easy to store, easy toset-up, easy to tow. CONS: Not as many amenities as other trailer types, notas much storage.

If an RV Owner does not have commercial rental insurance covering the rental of their RV listed on the EASY RV, INC. platform, Renters are responsible for providing verifiable, current, FULL rental insurance coverage for the rental period through one of the insurance options listed in the Insurance section of these Terms and Conditions. When renting a Towable (travel trailer) there are additional insurance requirements, which are noted in the Insurance Addendum for Towables section of these Terms and Conditions.
Renter Background Checks
EASY RV, INC. completes a Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) check on renters via a third-party screening company. Final rental request confirmations sent to an RV Owner via the EASY RV, INC. platform are contingent upon a successful background check. EASY RV, INC. will authorize and confirm reservations for Renters who successfully pass the background check. EASY RV, INC. will automatically cancel the rental process if the Renter does not complete the motor vehicle check application.
Department of Motor Vehicle Pass or Fail Criteria
At Easy RV, we keep safety at the center of all we do. Each renter is required to pass a Department of Motor Vehicle check which helps confirm identity and driving history. These records are kept strictly confidential. Although we don’t share confidential details with RV owners, we do let them know the renter did or did not pass the motor vehicle check according to one of the reasons below. A current driver’s license is required to complete the check for U.S. citizens. International drivers must provide a valid passport number and an IDP (International Driver’s Permit). An IDP can usually be easily obtained in less than a day. Domestic checks normally take less than one hour. International checks take between 24-28 hours. Background check are on a pass or fail criteria.
Pass - You are free to rent through the Easy RV platform.
Fail - If any of the following appear on the renter’s motor vehicle record check:
- The individual has two or more speeding tickets (going 20 mph or more over the speed limit) within the last year; or
- The individual has had a DUI or DWI within the last 2 years; or
- The individual has had two or more collisions during the last year; or

(Damages, missing items and overages are typically charged against deposits.)*When a Renter cancels, he/she bears the burden of the Stripe service fee, except when Renter cancels 6 days or less prior to the start of the rental period, the Owner will pay the Stripe service fee.
Payouts to RV Owners
Release of payment to the RV Owner is 24 hours after the start of the rental period. RV Owners understand and agree to link a bank account to receive rental payouts.
Assignment of EASY RV, INC. as Payment Agent
When an RV Owner creates an account with EASY RV, INC. and creates an RV rental listing, the RV Owner understands and agrees that EASY RV, INC. shall collect payment from the Renter on behalf of the RV Owner. Each Owner agrees that payments of Rental Fees, RV Fees, and Damage Deposit made by a Renter to EASY RV, INC. is considered the same as payment made directly to the RV Owner. RV Owner understands and agrees to link a bank account to receive rental payouts. Renter understands and agrees that EASY RV, INC., is acting as the Payment Agent for the Owner and all fee transactions from Renter to Owner will be done through the EASY RV, INC. platform.
In addition to Rental Fees and a Damage Deposit, RV Owners may add associated RV Fees that may include, but not be limited to, set-up and cleaning fees, dumping fees, pet fees, mileage fees, generator fees, and late return fees. RV Fees are determined solely by the RV Owner, not EASY RV, INC. EASY RV, INC. will collect all fees and submit agreed upon fees to the RV Owner, less Easy RV, INC. fees.
EASY RV, INC. Fees
EASY RV, INC. receives 15% of each reservation, this does not include the tax or the Damage Deposit. Registered Renters and RV Owners agree that at no time are they allowed to enter into a rental agreement outside of the EASY RV, INC. platform, circumventing this agreement.
RV Owners choose the amount of the Damage Deposit for their RV. Damage Deposits are collected two days prior to the rental start date. Damage Deposits are typically in place to cover the insurance deductible and/or to cover overages, missing items, or small damage repairs. Damage deposits are refundable and will be released by the RV Owner/Manager 72 hours after the RV has been returned by the Renter, once a final inspection has been performed, and there are no overages or new damage issues. If there are overages or new damages upon return of the RV, the Owner may file a claim against all or part of the damage deposit to cover these costs. (See Overages section and Damages section for additional information.)
The Renter is responsible for returning the rented RV in the condition it was when the rental period began. Renters understand and agree that Renter is fully responsible for the RV during the entire rental period, which includes responsibility for anyone the Renter allows access to the RV. Any new damages to the RV as a result of carelessness, negligence or misuse are the sole fault of the Renter (i.e. backing into objects, driving under low hanging limbs or other obstacles, damage to roof components, damage to tires, damage to awnings, damage to the undercarriage, etc.). In the event an RV Owner provides evidence of new damage to the RV upon return, Renters agree that there will be claims filed against all or part of the Damage Deposit. Renters understand and agree that the insured will file an insurance claim for all damages and damages not covered by the insurance claim are the full responsibility of the Renter. Renter authorizes the RV Owner/Manager to charge the remaining damages to the Renter’s credit card on file or another credit card provided. Both the Renter and the RV Owner understand and agree that it is expected for both parties to cooperate in good faith to fully remedy all claims as quickly as possible.
Having proper rental insurance coverage is important. Owners, Renters, and the RV all must be fully insured during the entire rental period. If an Owner already has commercial RV rental insurance, GREAT! If the RV Owner does not have commercial insurance covering the rental of the RV, the Renter is responsible for providing verifiable, current, full coverage RV rental insurance as the driver of the RV, by choosing Option 1 or Option 2. Renters are responsible for all insurance premiums under this section. If the rental is a TOWABLE (travel trailer), Renters are also required to show verifiable, current insurance showing the Renter is covered to connect a rented trailer to their vehicle (see Insurance Addendum for TOWABLES section below).
Renters may be able to obtain temporary RV rental insurance coverage from their automobile insurance provider by contacting their insurance agent and asking for temporary insurance. This is usually called an “Insurance Binder or Certificate.” Such temporary insurance extends the renters full coverage insurance while operating a rented RV. In such instances, the RV Owner must be listed as an “Additional Insured” and “Loss Payee” and THE POLICY MUST BE FULL COVERAGE, including comprehensive, collision and liability. Not all insurance companies offer RV Insurance Binders. We make it easy by providing a form for Renters to give to their insurance agents (check out our site under FORMS for a downloadable, sample RV Insurance Binder Request form). Verifiable insurance is due PRIOR to the day the rental period is to begin.
OPTION 2Renters may obtain full coverage RV Rental insurance from a company who provides RV rental insurance, such as MBA Insurance, (www.mbainsurance.com or 800-622-2201) or another agency of their choice. Verifiable insurance is due PRIOR to the day the rental period is to begin.
Insurance Addendum for TOWABLES (travel trailers)
A Renter’s insurance agent must provide confirmation that the Renter’s current insurance policy extends liability coverage for a non-owned, rented trailer while connect to the insured’s vehicle. This verification proves a Renter is insured to connect a rented trailer to his vehicle. We make it easy for Renters, by providing a Trailer Liability Form for Renters to send to their insurance agent, with instructions to return the form to the RV Owner/manager they wish to rent from (check out our site under FORMS for a downloadable, sample Trailer Rental Liability Form). Verifiable insurance is due PRIOR to the day the rental period is to begin.
Renters are responsible for paying any/all overages per the rental agreement, which may include excess mileage, excess generator hours, fuel fees or any other overages that are part of a rental agreement between and Owner and Renter. It is most common for such overages to be deducted from the Renter’s Damage Deposit.
All rental agreements, forms and documents provided by Easy RV are sample templates only. Easy RV assumes no representation by providing these templates. Owners and renters acknowledge and agree that sample forms may be downloaded from the site and the templates utilized at their own risk.
Rental AgreementsInsurance companies REQUIRE the use of a Rental Agreement.
(Check out our site under FORMS for a downloadable, printable, sample Rental Agreement form). In the event of a claim being filed, the executed Rental Agreement would be one of the documents required by the insurance companies. Rental Agreements are solely between the Renter and the RV Owner/Manager. EASY RV, INC. is not a party in any Rental Agreement. The Renter agrees to accept any terms, conditions, rules and restrictions the RV Owner has established governing the rental of the RV. The Renter understands and agrees that all rental obligations are the responsibility of the Renter, not EASY RV, INC. RV Owners are solely responsible for responding to booking requests, accepting or declining the booking request and making available the RV in the listing for the agreed upon duration. The only obligation EASY RV, INC. has within the rental process is to accept agreed upon fees from the Renter and transfer agreed upon fees to the RV Owner, less EASY RV, INC. Fees. This obligation is explained in more detail in the section titledAssignment of EASY RV, INC. as Payment Agent.
Pick-up and Drop-off Times
RV rental pick-up and return times are set by individual RV Owners. These times should be confirmed by both the Renter and the Owner prior to departure and should also be noted on the Rental Agreement. Renters understand and agree they are responsible for paying a Late Return Fee, as specified in the Rental Agreement, if the RV is returned later than agreed upon.
RV Owners establish their own pet policy and should clarify the pet policy on each RV listing. Owners and Renters should both ensure the pet policy is noted on the Rental Agreement. RV Owners may collect a Pet Damage Fee, may elect to keep the Damage Deposit, and may require that an insurance claim be filed for any damages caused by a pet during the rental period.
RV Owners should clarify their smoking policy that applies to the RV rental at the time of the rental and should ensure that this information is noted on the Rental Agreement. If the Rental Agreement includes a NO SMOKING policy and smoke damage is incurred during the rental period, RV Owners may collect a Smoke Damage Fee, that will be deducted from the Damage Deposit.
Maintenance and Breakdowns
RV Owners should have a Roadside Assistance plan in place during all rental periods. RV Owners should communicate to the Renter the importance of periodically checking fluid levels and to continuously check tire air pressure, wheels and lug nuts, and exterior parts of RV during the rental period. Renter agrees to be responsible for checking fluid levels, tire air pressure, wheels and lug nuts, and exterior parts of RV during the rental period. Renter understands and agrees that the Renter is responsible for new damages due to negligence in the operation of the RV (please see Renter Conduct and Right of Possession section). Should a breakdown or maintenance issue occur, the Renter should immediately notify the RV Owner for instructions and authorization for repairs if necessary. This information should be part of the Rental Agreement and covered during orientation at the time of pick-up.
Payments and Financial Terms
Release of payment to the RV Owner is 24 hours after the start of the rental period. RV Owners must link a bank account in order to receive payouts from rentals. EASY RV, INC. accepts all major credit cards. Easy RV, INC. uses Stripe as our payment gateway. Stripe charges the Owner a fee of 2.9% + .30 for each transaction. RV Owners creating listings on the EASY RV, INC. platform agree to allow EASY RV, INC. to collect payment from Renters on their behalf. RV Owners agree that payments of Rental Fees, RV Fees, and Damage Deposits made by a Renter to EASY RV, INC. is considered the same as payment made directly to the RV Owner. Renters agree to make payments for confirmed reservations in a timely manner via the EASY RV, INC. platform. The RV Owner, in return, agrees to make the listed RV available to the Renter for the agreed upon term and for the agreed upon rates, as if the RV Owner received the payments directly.
Renter Conduct and Right of Possession
Renters understand and agree to obey all state and local driving laws while moving or operating the rental RV, which includes never driving or towing in excess of the posted speed limit at any time. Renters understand and agree not to act careless or negligent while moving or operating the rental RV. Renter agrees never to move or operate the rental RV while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Renter agrees never to transport any person or animal inside a Towable rental RV. Renter agrees that nothing will be towed behind the rental RV at any time unless agreed to in writing on the Rental Agreement. Renter agrees that no-one is allowed on the roof of the rental RV at any time.
Toll Roads, Parking Tickets, Fines and Violations
Renters understand and agree to pay all fees associated with toll roads, parking tickets, fines and violations incurred during the rental period, no matter when such documentation of these matters are received.
The policy of EASY RV, INC. is that no rental RVs are permitted to cross over any US border.
GPS Tracking Devices
RV Owners are strongly encouraged to purchase and install a GPS tracking device to monitor the whereabouts of their rented RVs on a 24-hour basis. If the GPS device becomes inactive, the Renter should expect immediate communication from the RV Owner regarding the issue and the Renter understands and agrees to promptly respond to and assist the owner in remedying any issue with the GPS device.
RV Owners acknowledge and agree they are responsible for determining and setting the taxes to be charged and collected in conjunction with their own rentals. Each state has different tax and permit requirements regarding the rental of a motor vehicle and/or travel trailer. RV Owners acknowledge and agree that each owner is solely responsible for determining any applicable tax reporting requirements and obligations. RV Owners acknowledge and agree to consult a tax advisor regarding all tax issues in regard to their own rentals. Easy RV does not and cannot offer tax, financial, accounting, legal or any type of professional advice to users of this site. The IRS (Internal Revenue Services) requires all US companies, who process payments, including Easy RV, to report the gross earnings of any US user who earns more than $20,000 and has more than 200 transactions within a calendar year. If you are an owner who meets both of these requirements, you will receive a 1099-K Form that will be mailed to the address on file in your profile account no later than January 31st. When you receive your 1099-K and you feel there is an error, please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org.

HOW DOES EASY RV WORK?
We connect RV owners with people who want to rent them…it’s that Easy! Owners list their RVs on our site, and renters can scroll through the listings to find just the right RV. You can search for an RV in the area you live or by destination. Communication is handled through the site as the details get ironed out. Once both parties confirm, an agreement is reached, and payments made. Easy RV handles the details, so owners and renters can feel confident about the experience.
DO OWNERS PAY TO LIST THEIR RV OR TRAILERS?
Listing an RV or trailer is FREE. When a booking is accepted, Easy RV takes 15% of the rental, the lowest fee in the rental industry.
I’M A FIRST-TIME RVER, HOW WILL I KNOW HOW TO WORK EVERYTHING IN AN RV?
We LOVE first-timers! Owners are really good about providing an orientation over all the systems & features of their particular RV. We also provide a handy Orientation Checklist on our site to serve as a guideline to making sure everything is covered.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
We encourage owners to respond to requests within 24 hours, however, we recommend waiting a few days if you don’t hear anything right away, everyone has different schedules. After a few days, if you still haven’t heard anything, you can send a reminder message to the owner when you pull up the online listing. Once you get a response, it’s between you and the owner to agree on the details of the rental.
WHAT IF I NEED TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY BOOKING?
If you already have a confirmed reservation, just log-in to your account on Easy RV and message the owner your new dates and request a revised quote.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE DETAILS OF MY BOOKING?
When a reservation is confirmed, you’ll be able to find the booking details in your In Box, and you’ll receive an email with the same information.
WHEN DO OWNERS GET PAID?
Payment is released to the Owner’s bank account 24 hours after the rental start date. RV Owners understand and agree to link a bank account to receive rental payouts.
WHEN WILL I GET MY DEPOSIT BACK?
An owner has 72 hours after the RV is returned to do an inspection & complete the checkout form. Any overages (mileage, generator, fuel, etc.), as well as any news damages, are documented at that time. When there are no overages or new damages, the deposit it refunded in full after 72 hours. If there are overages or new damages reported, you will receive an email with an opportunity to dispute the charges. We encourage owners and renters to download, print and utilize the Condition Form available on our site. We also strongly suggest that photos are taken of the RV on the day of pick-up.
DO I HAVE TO PAY TAXES WHEN I RENT AN RV?
Yes. Each state has different tax requirements that you are required to pay in conjunction with a rental. The tax amount should be noted in the listing as well as on your rental agreement as a line item.
ARE THERE ANY CHECKS CONDUCTED ON THE RENTERS?
Easy RV conducts a department of motor vehicle check on each renter at no cost to the Owners.
DO I NEED INSURANCE TO RENT AN RV?
Some owners have rental insurance that provides coverage for the renter. If an owner does not have rental insurance, you’ll need to obtain a temporary insurance Binder or Certificate, or, try to obtain rental insurance through your own carrier. You’ll find more details about insurance in our Terms and Conditions.
DOES MY OWNER INSURANCE COVER MY RENTERS?
Most regular insurance plans don’t cover renters. If you plan on renting your RV or trailer regularly, it’s best to get a policy that covers your renters (MBA Insurance is one of many companies that offer policies for owners who want to rent their RVs). Another option is to have the renter obtain a temporary binder or certificate from their own auto insurance agency that extends to a rental RV or trailer.
WHAT DOCUMENTS AND FORMS DO OWNERS NEED TO USE WHEN RENTING AN RV?
We make it easy for owners by providing sample template documents you may print and use for the rental process, such as a Pre-Arrival Checklist, Rental Agreement, Vehicle Condition Agreement, and many more.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY RENTAL?
Bummer! Each owner sets their own cancellation policy which you should inquire about, and feel comfortable with, before you confirm your reservation. It’s always best to make sure the cancellation guidelines are in writing.
ARE THERE ADDITIONAL FEES WHEN I RENT AN RV?
Owners establish the additional fees they will charge. All additional fees that apply to your rental should be noted in the rental listing and on your rental agreement. Additional fees will commonly relate to mileage, generator use, pets, cleaning, special packages, etc.
CAN I INCLUDE MY PET IN MY RV ADVENTURE?
We are pet-friendly at Easy RV, however, you’ll need to verify with the RV Owner about bringing your pet along.
WHAT TYPE OF SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE IF I NEED ASSISTANCE ON THE SITE?
It’s easy to use the Chat box that you’ll find on the bottom right side while you’re on our website. Users can also reach our support team at: email@example.com.
WHAT ARE TAX REQUIREMENTS FOR RV OWNERS?
Each owner is required to set the tax rate for their rental(s), based on what their state will require them to collect and submit each year. We recommend that owners consult with their state comptroller’s office as well as a tax professional to determine tax liability, collection and filing requirements. Additional information regarding tax obligations for owners can be found in our Terms and Conditions.
